Its not everyday you find something that  looks like it will taste really good AND be vegetarian.  I’m always on the look out for these so I can entertain family  and everyone can eat.

Here’s a transcription of this terrific video and someone who provides excellent value through video.

Today it’s finally a pasta recipe for you. My vegetarian Canone. One pot pasta is served with tart chicory goat cheese, fruity orange and candied walnuts. A really tasty dish that will not only delight vegetarians and hungry. Now let’s cook there. Uni need packery pasta, chicory orange thyme, goat cream cheese, and walnuts. First, cut off the stalk and remove the leaves. Cut four Chico release in half lengthwise and set aside. Peel the orange and cut out the fillets. Cut another orange in half and squeeze out the juice. Finally, slice one garlic cloth and pluck fresh thyme. Now heat up a pot with water and add salt. Cook the packy pasta in it until Aldente. Eat up another pen and add sugar as well as water. Always add a little water. When caramelizing sugar. This way the sugar takes color evenly and you do not have to stir all the time. If the sugar is brown, deglaze with cold butter, add walnuts and mix. Well. Empty the candied walnuts onto a baking paper and season with a little salt. Eat a sufficiently large pen and add olive oil. Put in the chica release and also the garlic.

Now caramelize with a little sugar and deglaze with cold butter, seasoned with freshly ground pepper and salt. Then add the pasta and pluck tine. Then fill up with orange juice and add some orange zest on top. Finally, add the orange filets and toss well to serve. Put everything into bowls and drizzle with orange sauce. Pluck the gold cream cheese and sprinkle the candied walnuts on top. Arrange the half chicory leaves and we fine with olive oil and fresh thyme. here’s a quick take on what you would need to recreate something similiar


• 250 g (8.8 oz) paccheri pasta (or any other large tube-shaped pasta)

• 2 oranges

• 1 head of chicory (also known as endive or witloof)

• 2 cloves of garlic

• 4 sprigs of fresh thyme

• 3 tablespoons of olive oil

• Salt and pepper to taste

• 50 g (1.8 oz) fresh goat cheese

• 50 g (1.8 oz) candied walnuts (you can make your own by following the instructions from this website


• Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water according to the package directions, until al dente. Drain and set aside.

• Peel and segment the oranges, removing any seeds and white pith. Cut the chicory into thin slices, discarding the core and any wilted leaves. Peel and mince the garlic. Strip the leaves from the thyme sprigs and chop them finely.

• In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil and add the garlic and thyme. Cook for about a minute, stirring frequently, until fragrant but not browned.

• Add the chicory and a pinch of salt and pepper and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until wilted and caramelized.

• Add the orange segments and cook for another 5 minutes, until heated through and slightly reduced.

• Add the cooked pasta and toss to combine with the sauce. Adjust the seasoning if needed.

• Crumble the goat cheese over the pasta and sprinkle with the candied walnuts.

• Serve hot or at room temperature, with more cheese or walnuts if desired
